The BOGA Fund NDC Window open until 30 September 2025
As governments finalise and submit their new NDCs ahead of #COP30, BOGA is launching a final call for requests for support under the BOGA Fund.
Meeting the Paris Agreement goals in an orderly, just and equitable manner requires that governments start planning for a managed transition away from fossil fuels. At COP29, BOGA announced that it would make the BOGA Fund available to support Global South governments that want to reflect Paragraph 28 of the first Global Stocktake - and specifically the transition away from oil and gas - in their NDCs, in collaboration with the NDC Partnership (NDCP).
All Global South governments that want to take steps towards an orderly, just and equitable transition away from oil and gas are encouraged to submit a request for support for consideration. The programme was launched earlier this year with a high-level event featuring Denmark, Brazil and Kenya, and a technical webinar led by the IEA and ADB, and will remain open to requests for support until 30 September 2025. BOGA membership is not required to access the fund.
