BOGA and NDC Partnership co-host high-level panel event at COP30
This joint event in the Blue Zone at COP30 will report back on progress since the launch of the NDC Window at COP29 towards reflecting the transition away from fossil fuels in NDCs 3.0.
At COP29, BOGA announced that it would open an NDC Window, in collaboration with the NDC Partnership. Set up under the US$20 million BOGA Fund, the NDC Window aims to support countries to integrate the transition away from fossil fuels in Paragraph 28 of the Global Stocktake into their NDCs.
One year on, BOGA and the NDC Partnership co-host an event to report back on progress, sharing updates on how BOGA members and countries with BOGA Fund programmes are reflecting Paragraph 28 in their NDCs, and announcing the countries and programmes that will benefit from support under the BOGA Fund NDC window.
During the event, speakers will:
- Reflect on their pathway to integrating the transition away from fossil fuels in their NDCs 3.0 and implementing measures.
- Share their next steps, in terms of implementing measures and their analytical, policy and technical needs.
- Discuss the value of partnerships for a just transition, and how to speed and scale up action over the course of NDCs 3.0.
